Job description

As a leading management and strategy consultancy, you will help shape the future of the public sector with us — together with top clients at the federal, state, and municipal levels. In addition, we work for leading clients in the Automotive & Transport as well as Energy & Environment sectors. Using state-of-the-art tools and methods, we support established organizations in overcoming their transformation challenges.

Since our founding in 2017, we have grown to over 130 employees across eight locations — Berlin, Munich, Vienna, Cologne, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Bucharest, and recently also Warsaw. We are proud to be among the top ten in the brand eins/Statista list of “Best Management Consultants” for the fifth consecutive time. With our subsidiary &amp, we can implement end-to-end digitalization projects (consulting and software development).

We work on strategic tasks with the top management level of our clients and support the operationalization and implementation of measures. With pronounced strategic and pragmatic competence, we work goal- and solution-oriented toward shared success.
For our clients. For our company. For you.

This position can be started at our locations in Berlin or Hamburg.

What to Expect:

At accilium, you will build something great. As a Partner in the Public Sector division, you will take on a key role in expanding our consulting business with public institutions, state-owned companies, and municipal organizations, especially in northern Germany (Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Bremen, Hamburg, Saxony-Anhalt, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania). You will develop and lead pioneering transformation projects based on existing framework agreements, focusing on digitalization, modernization, and innovation for our clients in these federal states.

With your entrepreneurial mindset, deep understanding of public structures, and strategic foresight, you will make a significant contribution to the further development of our portfolio. At the same time, you will foster talented teams and cultivate a culture of excellence and public value.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Independently lead sales initiatives, build new client relationships, and further develop our public sector business.

  • Strategic Leadership: Shape the direction of our public sector division with a focus on digitalization, administrative modernization, and implementation of political programs.

  • Client Consulting: Provide strategic advice to public institutions on topics such as digitalization strategies, funding management, process optimization, and regulatory implementation.

  • Project Management: Manage complex projects in the public sector environment and ensure excellent results, timely delivery, and client satisfaction.

  • Market Presence: Represent accilium at industry events and conferences, strengthening our role as a thought leader in the public sector.

  • Team Development: Develop our consulting teams further and establish a performance-oriented, collaborative working culture.

What We Offer:

  • An attractive, performance-based compensation package at partner level – including profit participation and the opportunity to acquire equity in the company, allowing you to directly share in our collective success.

  • Career & Development: The chance to actively shape a strategically important business area and the future of a rapidly growing company.

    • Access to a strong network of institutions, experts, and decision-makers.

    • Individual training and development opportunities.

  • Culture:

    • Our accilium culture is based on seven lived virtues: team spirit, responsibility, willingness to learn, authenticity, ambition, adaptability, and accessible management. They provide the framework for personal growth and entrepreneurial action.

  • Benefits:

    • State-of-the-art technologies and tools for your success.

    • Comprehensive benefits, including company health programs.

    • Regular company events and team activities.

What You Should Bring:

  • Education: A completed degree — ideally in Public Management, Political Science, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Professional Experience: At least 9 years of experience in management consulting or in a leadership role in the public sector — with a strong consulting focus.

  • Network: You have direct and trusted access to decision-makers at selected target clients.

  • Expertise: In-depth knowledge of administrative structures, digitalization initiatives, and transformation processes in the public sector.
